Who is this service for?

This service works with young people—aged 10 to 18 years old—who are identified as having significant or multiple risk issues, including experiencing homelessness or being at the risk of becoming homeless.

This service is suitable for young people who are at risk of referral to, or escalation within, Child Safety or Youth Justice systems.

About the service

This service is a partnership between Baptcare and the Department for Education, Children and Young People.

It is a therapeutic intervention program aimed to provide support and casework services for at-risk young people. The service also aims to re-engage young people in education, training, employment, and housing.

We will consult with Strong Families Safe Kids Advice and Referral Line if there are serious concerns about children’s safety or welfare.


How can I make a referral to this service?

The Targeted Youth Support Service can be accessed by people who are referred to Strong Families Safe Kids Advice and Referral Line on 1800 000 123.

Referrals can be made by the wider community, including:

  • Family members
  • Friends
  • Healthcare professionals
  • Service providers
  • Other professionals who have concerns about the welfare of children.
