“I’m proud to have been in aged care for 15 years. I know the transition into aged care can be hard. Having Italian heritage myself—like many residents here—I know how important it is to maintain deep connections with family. I can’t wait to welcome you and start to build a rapport with you and your family.”
As one of Baptcare’s newest locations, Wattle Grove offers modern facilities with the feeling of a well-established community based on strong and supportive connections.

You’ll find us nestled between the suburbs of Thomastown, Lalor, and Epping. We’re close to nature—with the beautiful Whittlesea Public Gardens nearby which are perfect for afternoon strolls or play time with visiting grandkids—but with convenient amenities right on our doorstep. Cafes, shops and the Epping Plaza are just around the corner.

It’s a diverse area, with plenty of flavour and colour from different cultures, and that’s reflected in our own community too. Wattle Grove has strong representation of Greek, Italian, and Macedonian cultures. We can’t wait to meet you and celebrate your story too.

Living well together

We’re a thriving community here at Wattle Grove

We’re a welcoming and inclusive community here at Wattle Grove, with an emphasis on celebrating culture and supporting diversity. We take that diversity into our highly personalised approach to care. For us, the idea of exceptional care is whatever makes life meaningful for you, because everyone’s different. Everyone sees ‘home’ as something unique, and we’re here to ensure that’s what you feel at Wattle Grove.

What makes you excited to wake up and embrace each day? We’re here to make it happen. When you visit us, you’ll likely smell fresh coffee brewing and see warm pastries ready for morning or afternoon tea—that’s because we have a lot of Greek, Italian, and Macedonian residents, and socializing over food and coffee is a huge part of Mediterranean culture. That’s what we’re here for: to provide exceptional care by creating, providing or supporting you in the little things that make you smile and make you feel at home.

Live well, your way

Living well looks different for everybody. Whatever you love to do—whatever makes your day and makes life meaningful—we’re here to make it happen.

Some of the hobbies and activities we support residents with include:

  • Do you have a green thumb? Resident Harry has his own garden, where he grows delicious veggies. He even shares his bumper crop home grown tomatoes with staff!
  • Resident Catherine used to be a farmer, so she tends to our on-site chickens every day.
  • Mediterranean coffee club, where residents catch up and socialise over different beans and blends, while chatting through all the big—and not so big—issues.
  • Entertainers visit weekly to put on a range of different shows and performances.
  • Spiritual and religious services. We honour what spirituality means for you. For Orthodox Easter, we gift boiled red eggs to each other. We also cater to other religious and non-denominational ceremonies, with spiritual support requirements.

What's important to you?

These are some examples, but living well looks different for every person. It’s all about taking the time to understand your preferences, hobbies, and passions. We’d love to chat through your favourite things to do when you visit us for a tour.
