I need support with parenting or caring for children
Parenting can be tough. And asking for help is not easy, either.
When you need support for something as personal and important as being a parent—or the wellbeing of children—it can be even more daunting.
If you feel overwhelmed as a parent, there is always help available. We can help you to find and connect with the right support, even if it’s not with us at Baptcare.
You can also find useful information here with the Department of Social Services. Remember, if you or someone is in immediate danger, always call Triple Zero: 000.
Here’s how we support children, young people and families:
Children, youth and family services
We offer many programs designed to support and provide safe spaces for children, young people and families. These services are currently offered in Victoria and Tasmania.
Foster care or kinship care
Foster care provides alternative accommodation options for children who cannot live at their own family home. Kinship care is like foster care, but slightly different. It’s when children or young people are placed with a family member or friend of the family. Both foster and kinship care happen when children cannot stay at home with their parents.
