“Moving into a new place can be overwhelming at any stage of life. We will ensure you are supported, and that Heritage Manor feels comfortable and welcoming: your values and choices are our number one priority. We’re very proud of this place we call home. We all hope you will be too.”
Right in the heart of the La Trobe Valley—with views of Mount Baw Baw and the Strezlecki Ranges rising in the background—Baptcare Heritage Manor is set on peaceful, rolling farm greens.

You’ll enjoy the best of relaxed country living and warm community spirit here in Gippsland. With wide open spaces, plenty of clean, crisp air, and the gentle ‘moo’ of our dairy cow neighbours, it’s peaceful and relaxing while still being central to everything you need.

There’s plenty on offer nearby, including boutique shops and local farmer’s markets. Join us for one of our frequent day trips for lunch or a tour: a favourite is a scenic exploration of the nearby Loy Yang or Yallourn power stations, where many residents have fond memories of working or visiting loved ones.

Lifestyle + activities

Living well together

We’re a thriving community here at Heritage Manor

At Heritage Manor, our approach to care is simple. Whatever gives your life meaning and makes you feel at home: that’s exceptional care. ‘Home’ is something different for every person, so we take the time to listen to you and learn your story, then do all the things we can to ensure you feel excited about every day.

We live by the motto that ‘things don’t need to change because you live in aged care.’ Of course, you’ll have access to the high-quality support you need, but we’re a home, not a hospital. You’ll join a warm and inclusive community that feels like a big family home—pets included. We’ve had rabbits, birds, cats, and fish join us on site. And you can still do all the things you’ve always loved: if you’re used to having a glass of red at 8pm with friends or family, be our guest. It’s your home here at Heritage Manor.

Live well, your way

Living well looks different for everybody. Whatever you love to do—whatever makes your day and makes life meaningful—we’re here to make it happen.

Some of the hobbies and activities we support residents with include:

  • If you’re a green thumb, you’ll thrive! Many residents are active in our gardens, and we encourage you to curate your own personal patch. You’ll find gnomes or fairy lights. One resident Mary has a rock with a plaque to remember her late husband.
  • Another resident Ken was a professional darts player, so we have regular Monday morning dart competitions to keep all our skills on point!
  • Resident Clive loves to play the drums, so he’s got a drumkit set up on site! He occasionally puts on a show for others and is working towards playing a venue he performed at when he was younger.

What's important to you?

These are some examples, but living well looks different for every person. It’s all about taking the time to understand your preferences, hobbies and passions. We’d love to chat through your favourite things to do when you visit us for a tour.

Food

What’s on the menu

There’s always something fresh and delicious on offer at Heritage Manor, with a choice of tasty, healthy meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Family and friends are always welcome to join too: all you need to do is book ahead.

Fresh, seasonal menus

Our chefs prepare all food on site using delicious seasonal ingredients. Our menu is designed by reputable chefs in partnership with qualified dietitians, with special meals. We love BBQs in summer, and everyone enjoys a beer or a drink with the chef while the snags are cooking.

A range of delicious options every day

Choice is important in every aspect of life at Heritage Manor. Food is no exception. You’ll have the choice of two hot options for lunch and dinner, and sometimes three. There are fresh sandwiches and salads available for lunch and dinner, and bowls of fresh seasonal fruit you can enjoy throughout the day, every day.

Personalised dietary preferences

We have regular food focus meetings with residents to help decide the types of meals we offer. While our base menu is approved by a specialised dietitian, we adjust the menu based on your feedback, preferences and individual dietary needs.

Features on location

What’s on location

Gardens and gazebo

We’ve been here for 17 years. In that time, many residents have contributed to our beautiful gardens, with lush green grass carpeting the grounds. We have beautiful roses and flower beds, and plenty of room for visiting grandkids to play.

Memory support unit

Part of our home is specially designed to support people with memory loss or dementia. We support you to maintain your independence and keep your mind active by getting involved with everyday tasks.

Library

If you’re looking for your next page turner, our library is the place. Find a much-loved classic or your next interesting read and pull up a comfy chair.

On site café

While we’re not far from the centre of Morwell where there are plenty of cafes, we also have our own onsite option. It’s great for coffee and cake with family and friends.

Large social areas

We’re a friendly and inviting community, and we love a good catch up. Families are welcome to join us anytime and relax with their loved ones or celebrate milestone festivities.

Beauty salon

We know the all-important truth: when you look your best, you’re more likely to feel your best too! With visiting hairdressers and an on-site salon, you can keep up with your favourite style or try a new look.
Accommodation

A place to call your own

All rooms are bright, with lots of natural light and views out into the gardens, and private for one person. Couples can arrange for cojoining rooms with a shared door. Your space is your own and we strongly encourage you to do things to make it feel that way. That could mean bringing paintings or photos, or something as simple as a bowl of Roses choccies for everyone who visits (for one resident, that’s a must have!). Your room will also feature:

    • electronic high/low bed
    • ensuite bathroom with built-in shower chair, high-quality fittings and non-slip floor for comfort and safety
    • bedside table and comfy chairs for visitors
    • built-in wardrobe
    • air-conditioning and cooling.

Wi-fi and telephone services are available for an additional cost.

If you love a Magnum ice cream for dessert each night, bring a fridge so you can keep them nearby! We’d love to have you for a tour and answer any of your questions.
